Job Summary
An Aesthetic Dermatologist is a medical doctor specializing in cosmetic skin treatments aimed at improving appearance, skin health, and anti-aging. They combine medical dermatology knowledge with advanced cosmetic procedures to enhance patients’ skin, hair, and overall aesthetic appeal.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ skin condition and aesthetic concerns
- Recommend and perform cosmetic dermatological procedures, such as:
- Chemical peels
- Laser treatments (for hair removal, pigmentation, scars)
- Botox and dermal fillers
- Microneedling and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy)
- Develop personalized skincare and treatment plans
- Manage conditions like acne scars, pigmentation, wrinkles, and aging skin
- Ensure patient safety and maintain hygiene standards during procedures
- Educate patients about skincare routines and post-treatment care
- Stay updated with the latest aesthetic technologies and trends
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow-ups
Required Qualifications
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- MD/DNB in Dermatology (preferred)
- Certification or fellowship in Aesthetic/Cosmetic Dermatology
- Valid medical license
