Job Title: Arabic & Islamic Studies Teacher
Job Summary:
The Arabic & Islamic Studies Teacher is responsible for teaching the Arabic language along with Islamic Studies, including Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic values. The role focuses on developing students’ language proficiency and moral character in line with Islamic principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Instruction
- Teach Arabic language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Deliver Islamic Studies lessons (Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, Aqeedah)
- Ensure proper Quran recitation (Tajweed)
- Encourage understanding and application of Islamic values in daily life
2. Lesson Planning & Curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum requirements
- Use engaging teaching methods and learning materials
- Integrate moral and ethical teachings into lessons
3. Student Assessment
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, and assignments
- Evaluate students’ progress in both Arabic and Islamic Studies
- Provide feedback and support for improvement
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment
- Encourage active participation and student engagement
- Promote positive behavior and character development
5. Communication
- Communicate with parents regarding academic and behavioral progress
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings
- Collaborate with school staff and administration
6. Co-curricular & Religious Activities
- Organize Islamic events (e.g., assemblies, Quran competitions, religious programs)
- Support school activities during important occasions like Ramadan and Eid
- Guide students in prayers and religious practices (if required)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, or related field
- Recognized teaching qualification/certification
- Strong knowledge of Quran, Hadith, and Islamic teachings
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written)
- Prior teaching experience preferred
