Job Title: UAE Social Studies Teacher (Arabic)
Job Summary:
The UAE Social Studies Teacher (Arabic) is responsible for teaching UAE Social Studies in the Arabic language, covering history, geography, culture, and civic education. The role focuses on strengthening students’ national identity, cultural awareness, and understanding of UAE heritage in alignment with Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver UAE Social Studies lessons in Arabic for assigned grade levels
- Teach UAE history, geography, government, culture, and national identity
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and civic awareness
- Use interactive and student-centered teaching methods
2. Lesson Planning & Curriculum
- Plan lessons aligned with UAE MOE curriculum standards
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources in Arabic
- Integrate current national developments and real-life examples
3. Student Assessment
- Design and conduct assessments, quizzes, and projects
- Monitor and record student progress
- Provide feedback and support to improve student performance
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment
- Encourage active participation and collaboration
- Manage classroom routines effectively
5. Communication
- Communicate with parents in Arabic regarding student progress
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership
6. National Identity & Cultural Promotion
- Promote UAE values, traditions, and heritage
- Organize and support activities for national events (e.g., National Day, Flag Day)
- Encourage student participation in cultural and community programs
7. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with MOE/KHDA requirements (where applicable)
- Support school inspections and academic reviews
- Maintain required documentation and records
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, or related field
- Teaching qualification/certification (as per UAE regulations)
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of UAE history, culture, and governance
- Prior teaching experience preferred
