Job Title: Inclusion Teacher – Emirati National (Special Educational Needs – SEN)
Job Summary:
The Inclusion Teacher (Emirati National) is responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and promoting inclusive education within the school. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure that all students, including those with learning difficulties or disabilities, have equal access to quality education in line with UAE inclusion policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Support & Inclusion
- Identify and support students with additional learning needs
- Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide targeted support in one-on-one and small group settings
- Promote inclusive learning practices across the school
2. Teaching & Intervention
- Deliver intervention programs based on student needs
- Adapt learning materials to support diverse learners
- Support classroom teachers in differentiating instruction
3. Assessment & Monitoring
- Conduct basic assessments to support identification of learning needs
- Track student progress and update IEPs regularly
- Maintain accurate records of student development
4. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with class teachers and inclusion coordinators
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and support strategies
- Coordinate with school counselors and external specialists when required
5. Classroom & School Support
- Assist in implementing behavior management strategies
- Support inclusive classroom environments
- Help ensure accessibility of learning resources for all students
6. Cultural & National Role
- Represent and promote Emirati values within the school
- Support UAE national initiatives related to inclusion and education
- Contribute to building a positive and supportive school community
7. Compliance & Documentation
- Follow UAE inclusion policies (MOE, KHDA, or relevant authority guidelines)
- Support documentation required for inspections and audits
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
Required Qualifications:
- Emirati National (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- SEN/inclusion training or certification preferred
- Interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Prior experience in a school environment is an advantage
