Job Summary
The Head of Assessment is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the institution’s assessment strategy to ensure fair, valid, and reliable evaluation of student learning. The role focuses on assessment planning, exam coordination, data analysis, academic reporting, and ensuring alignment with curriculum standards (MOE / CBSE / IB / Cambridge or institutional frameworks).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the school/college-wide assessment strategy
- Design assessment policies, procedures, and grading standards
- Oversee creation, moderation, and quality assurance of examinations
- Ensure alignment of assessments with curriculum learning outcomes
- Coordinate internal exams, term assessments, and final examinations
- Implement standardized marking schemes and evaluation criteria
- Monitor academic integrity and examination security procedures
- Analyze student performance data and generate academic reports
- Identify learning gaps and recommend improvement strategies
- Train teachers on assessment design, rubric development, and evaluation methods
- Coordinate with department heads for assessment planning and moderation
- Ensure compliance with institutional and external examination requirements
- Lead digital assessment initiatives and data-driven evaluation systems

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or relevant subject area
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
- 5–10+ years of teaching experience
- 2–5 years of experience in assessment coordination or academic leadership
- Experience with MOE / CBSE / IB / Cambridge or similar curricula preferred
