Job Title
FS Coordinator (Foundation Stage Coordinator / Early Years Coordinator)
Job Summary
The FS Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the Foundation Stage (Early Years) program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The role focuses on curriculum planning, teacher supervision, child development tracking, and coordination with parents and school leadership to support early learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Foundation Stage (FS1/FS2 or KG/Pre-K) program
- Plan, implement, and monitor early years curriculum and learning activities
- Ensure child-centered, play-based learning approaches are effectively applied
- Supervise and support FS teachers, assistants, and support staff
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback for improvement
- Track and assess children’s developmental progress (cognitive, social, emotional, physical)
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Coordinate lesson planning, teaching resources, and classroom materials
- Organize school events, celebrations, and early childhood activities
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns
- Ensure compliance with curriculum standards (MOE / EYFS / CBSE / IB Early Years, etc.)
- Support teacher training and professional development in early childhood education
- Collaborate with school leadership on FS policies and academic planning

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (preferred or required in some institutions)
- Teaching certification (e.g., B.Ed. or EYFS certification preferred)
- 3–8+ years of experience in early years teaching
- 1–3 years of leadership or coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with EYFS / MOE / CBSE / IB Early Years curriculum is an advantage
