Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer – Technical Support
Job Summary:
An Instrumentation Engineer – Technical Support is responsible for providing technical assistance related to instrumentation systems, control systems, sensors, and automation equipment. The role involves troubleshooting instrumentation issues, reviewing technical documents, supporting project execution, and ensuring reliable operation of measurement and control systems in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for instrumentation and control systems to clients and internal teams
- Review instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specifications
- Assist in selection of instruments such as transmitters, sensors, valves, and control systems
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and project teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with instrumentation standards, codes, and safety requirements
- Conduct site inspections, system checks, and performance evaluations
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project records
- Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews
- Provide technical training and support to customers and field technicians
- Support maintenance and optimization of control and automation systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Previous experience in instrumentation, automation, industrial projects, or maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of control systems, PLC/DCS, and industrial instrumentation
- Familiarity with calibration tools and measurement systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software preferred
