Job Description – CAFM Officer (Facilities Management)
A CAFM Officer (Computer-Aided Facility Management Officer) is responsible for supporting daily facility management operations through CAFM systems by managing work orders, updating records, tracking maintenance activities, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage daily activities within the CAFM system.
- Create, assign, update, and close maintenance work orders.
- Monitor preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and corrective maintenance requests.
- Update asset records, equipment details, and maintenance history.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and technicians to track work progress.
- Ensure timely completion and closure of service requests.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly CAFM reports.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and documentation.
- Monitor pending, completed, and overdue work orders.
- Assist in preparing KPI reports and performance summaries.
- Support CAFM data entry and system updates.
- Coordinate with clients and FM teams regarding service requests.
- Maintain records for audits and client reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and FM standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Facility Management, IT, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Facilities Management (FM).
- Experience working with CAFM systems is required.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations and work order management.
- Experience in Qatar/GCC FM projects is preferred.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of CAFM software and maintenance workflows.
- Strong data entry and record management skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to prepare reports and analyze maintenance data.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of MEP and building maintenance activities.
Main Objective
The main objective of a CAFM Officer is to ensure smooth maintenance coordination by managing CAFM records, tracking work orders, supporting FM teams, and maintaining accurate operational data for effective facility management services.
