Job Title: Cash Van Sales Representative (FMCG – Dairy)
Job Summary:
The Cash Van Sales Representative is responsible for selling and delivering dairy products directly to retail outlets using a company vehicle. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, expanding market coverage, achieving sales targets, collecting cash payments, and ensuring timely product delivery while maintaining product quality and the cold chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell and deliver dairy products to supermarkets, grocery stores, convenience stores, and other retail customers.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales and distribution targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and acquiring new accounts.
- Plan daily sales routes to maximize market coverage and productivity.
- Ensure product availability, proper merchandising, and stock rotation at customer locations.
- Monitor shelf displays and recommend promotional activities to increase product sales.
- Collect cash and other approved payments from customers and issue receipts.
- Prepare and reconcile daily cash collections, invoices, and sales reports.
- Load, transport, and unload products while ensuring proper handling and maintaining cold chain requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels in the sales van and coordinate replenishment with the warehouse.
- Record customer orders accurately and communicate them to the relevant departments when required.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate timely resolution.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and maintained according to company standards.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in van sales, direct sales, or FMCG sales, preferably in the dairy or food and beverage industry.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in cash handling and route sales operations.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and merchandising.
- Ability to operate handheld sales devices or mobile sales applications.
