Job Description: Bread Chef / Bread Maker (Male)
Job Summary:
The Bread Chef/Bread Maker is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of fresh breads and bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety. The role requires expertise in dough preparation, fermentation, baking techniques, and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, including artisan, white, whole wheat, multigrain, rolls, baguettes, and specialty breads.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to standardized recipes.
- Monitor dough fermentation, proofing, and baking processes to ensure consistent quality.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, proofers, ovens, and slicers.
- Ensure all bakery products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and report shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery work area and equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Minimize ingredient waste and ensure efficient use of raw materials.
- Assist in developing new bread recipes and seasonal products as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bread Chef, Baker, or Bread Maker in a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or food production facility.
- Knowledge of bread-making techniques, ingredients, and baking equipment.

Work Environment:
- Bakery, hotel, restaurant, café, or food production facility.
- Early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
- Work involves standing for extended periods, exposure to heat, and lifting bags of flour and other ingredients.
