Job Description – HR Position | Healthcare Sector
Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced HR professional to manage and support human resource functions within a healthcare organization. The role will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, attendance and payroll coordination, HR policies, compliance, performance management, training, and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and preferably experience working in a hospital, clinic, diagnostic center, or other healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection for clinical, nursing, administrative, technical, and support staff.
- Prepare job descriptions, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and manage onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HR databases, and documentation.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave, shift schedules, and workforce requirements.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing, salary inputs, deductions, overtime, incentives, and related HR data.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, statutory requirements, and healthcare-related employment regulations.
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace conflicts, and employee relations issues professionally.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal and performance management processes.
- Identify training and development needs and organize appropriate training programs.
- Support employee engagement, retention, welfare, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Coordinate joining formalities, induction, probation confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information.
- Support manpower planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels across departments.
- Coordinate with department heads regarding staffing, performance, attendance, and employee-related matters.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, MIS, and workforce analytics for management review.
- Assist during internal and external audits and ensure HR documentation is complete and up to date.
- Support healthcare quality and accreditation requirements where HR documentation or manpower compliance is involved.
Healthcare-Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain proper documentation and credential records for doctors, nurses, technicians, and other clinical personnel.
- Monitor validity of professional registrations, licenses, certifications, and mandatory training where applicable.
- Support compliance with hospital policies, patient-safety requirements, infection-control training, and other mandatory staff programs.
- Coordinate manpower requirements for 24/7 operations, including shift and roster planning.
- Support staffing requirements during expansion, new department launches, and emergency workforce needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Human Resources Management is preferred.
- Relevant HR certification will be an advantage.
Experience
- HR Executive: 2–5 years of relevant HR experience.
- HR Manager: 5–8+ years of relevant HR experience.
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare organization, clinic, diagnostic center, or medical institution is preferred.
