Job Description: HR Generalist
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources operations of the organization. The successful candidate will manage a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, employee engagement, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, sound knowledge of HR practices, and the ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviews, selection, and offer management.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and prepare accurate job descriptions.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and recruitment trackers.
- Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives.
- Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including documentation, orientation, induction, and HR system setup.
- Ensure new hires receive relevant policies, procedures, and company information.
- Conduct or coordinate exit interviews and manage employee offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records throughout the employee lifecycle.
Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries, policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
- Support managers in addressing employee relations issues professionally and fairly.
- Assist with disciplinary, grievance, and performance-related matters in accordance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage attendance, leave, employee information, and other HR databases.
- Prepare HR reports, letters, certificates, and other employment-related documentation.
- Support payroll processes by providing accurate employee information and attendance data.
- Ensure HR records are properly maintained and readily available for audits and reporting.
Performance Management
- Coordinate performance appraisal and review processes.
- Support managers and employees in setting goals and development objectives.
- Track performance review completion and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Identify training and development needs in collaboration with managers.
Learning & Development
- Assist in identifying employee training and development requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs.
- Maintain training records and monitor participation and completion.
- Support employee career development and engagement initiatives.
Policies, Compliance & HR Operations
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor and employment laws.
- Maintain awareness of changes in employment regulations and HR best practices.
- Assist with audits, statutory documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Recommend improvements to HR processes and employee services.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, events, and recognition programs.
- Help create a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Contribute to internal communication initiatives and company culture programs.
- Gather employee feedback and provide insights to HR leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in HR generalist, HR operations, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Familiarity with HR policies, employment practices, and applicable labor regulations.
- Experience using HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace is preferred.
