Social Media Executive
Reports to: Community Manager or Digital Manager
Position Overview:
The Social Media Executive is responsible for the hands-on execution of social media strategies across various platforms. This role focuses on content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring to build brand presence, engage audiences, and support campaign objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Curation: Develop engaging, platform-specific content (copy, image, video ideas) in line with the content calendar and brand voice.
- Community Management: Monitor social channels daily, respond to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner, and foster positive community interaction.
- Scheduling & Publishing: Use social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) to schedule and publish posts efficiently.
- Reporting: Track key performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and assist in compiling monthly reports with insights.
- Trendspotting: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and digital culture to recommend new ideas and tactics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the graphic design and content teams to request assets and ensure visual cohesion.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience managing professional social media accounts for a brand or agency.
- In-depth knowledge of major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat) and their best practices.
- Creativity and excellent copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and listening tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
