Job Title: Homeroom Teacher
Job Summary:
The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for the overall academic, emotional, and social development of a designated group of students. They serve as the primary point of contact between the school and parents, ensuring a supportive and structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Management & Welfare
- Take daily attendance and monitor student punctuality
- Maintain discipline and promote positive behavior
- Support students’ emotional and social well-being
- Address student concerns and guide them when needed
2. Academic Support
- Oversee students’ academic progress across subjects
- Coordinate with subject teachers regarding performance
- Provide additional guidance or intervention when necessary
- Help students develop good study habits
3. Communication
- Act as the main liaison between parents and school
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings
- Inform parents about student progress, issues, and achievements
4. Administrative Duties
- Maintain student records (attendance, grades, behavior reports)
- Prepare report cards and progress reports
- Organize classroom seating, schedules, and routines
5. Classroom Environment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Display student work and encourage participation
- Promote values such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork
6. Co-curricular Involvement
- Organize class activities, events, and celebrations
- Encourage participation in extracurricular activities
- Support school events and programs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject
- Teaching certification (as per local regulations)
- Prior teaching experience preferred
