Job Title: Urdu Teacher
Job Summary:
The Urdu Teacher is responsible for teaching the Urdu language, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. The role focuses on developing students’ language proficiency, literary appreciation, and effective communication in Urdu.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Instruction
- Plan and deliver engaging Urdu language lessons
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structure
- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
- Introduce Urdu literature, poetry, and prose appropriate to grade level
2. Lesson Planning & Curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology
- Adapt lessons to meet different learning needs
3. Student Assessment
- Conduct regular tests, quizzes, and assignments
- Assess and record student progress
- Provide constructive feedback to support improvement
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
- Encourage student participation and interaction
- Manage classroom time effectively
5. Communication
- Communicate with parents regarding student performance
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff
6. Co-curricular Activities
- Organize activities such as debates, recitations, and writing competitions
- Encourage appreciation of Urdu culture and literature
- Support school events and language-related programs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urdu, Education, or related field
- Teaching certification (as per local regulations)
- Proficiency in Urdu (spoken and written)
- Prior teaching experience preferred
