Job Title: Demand Planner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to forecast customer demand and ensure optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will use data analysis, market insights, and collaboration with sales and supply chain teams to create accurate demand plans that support business objectives and minimize costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data and market trends
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather inputs for planning
- Analyze demand patterns and identify risks or opportunities
- Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvements
- Align demand plans with inventory, production, and procurement strategies
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Prepare reports and dashboards on demand performance metrics
- Manage seasonal demand fluctuations and promotional impacts
- Ensure data integrity in planning systems
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field
- Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with ERP and demand planning software
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM, or CSCP)
- Experience with advanced forecasting tools or statistical models
- Knowledge of industry-specific demand trends (FMCG, retail, manufacturing, etc.)
