The Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for guests by providing professional and friendly reception service. The role involves greeting guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable guest experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Maintain awareness of table availability and restaurant capacity.
- Coordinate with waitstaff and management to ensure smooth guest flow.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding menus, services, and restaurant facilities.
- Handle phone calls, reservations, and guest requests professionally.
- Assist in managing waiting lists during busy periods.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and report any concerns to management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Ensure the reception area and entrance are clean, organized, and presentable.
- Support special events, VIP guest arrangements, and restaurant promotions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or Guest Relations role in hospitality is an advantage.
- Experience in fine dining or luxury restaurants is preferred.
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations and guest service standards.
