Senior Account Manager (Frequent Traveling to KSA)
Reports to: Account Director or Client Services Director
Position Overview:
The Senior Account Manager is the strategic lead and primary point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, primarily based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This role requires deep market understanding, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to drive growth and client satisfaction. Frequent travel to KSA (estimated 40-50%) is essential to nurture on-the-ground relationships, understand local nuances, and ensure flawless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Leadership & Strategy: Act as the trusted advisor to clients, developing a deep understanding of their business objectives, market challenges, and the KSA cultural & regulatory landscape. Proactively develop and present strategic communications/ marketing plans.
- Account Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth, upselling, and cross-selling integrated agency services. Develop compelling proposals and statements of work.
- Project Oversight: Lead the day-to-day management of all client projects, ensuring briefs are clear, timelines are met, budgets are adhered to, and deliverables exceed expectations. Brief internal teams (creative, digital, social) and manage workflow.
- Financial Management: Own the financial health of assigned accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and profitability analysis.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments. Mentor and guide junior account team members (e.g., Account Executives).
- Travel & On-Ground Presence: Conduct regular face-to-face meetings, presentations, and strategic reviews with clients in KSA. Represent the agency at industry events and networking forums in the region.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in account management within an advertising, marketing, or communications agency.
- Proven experience managing large, complex client portfolios, with a strong track record of retaining and growing accounts.
- Essential: Demonstrated experience working with KSA-based clients and a willingness to travel extensively to the region.
- Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English. Arabic language proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Strong financial and project management acumen.
