Industrial Electrician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems in an industrial plant environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with high-voltage equipment, control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), PLC wiring, and compliance with strict national and international safety standards (e.g., IET, ATEX where applicable).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, terminate, and commission electrical equipment including motors, transformers, switchgear, lighting systems, and distribution panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical circuits, PLC I/O modules, instrumentation loops, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Conduct testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.).
- Ensure all work complies with Romanian electrical norms (Normele PE 137/2002, IET), project specifications, and company safety procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to complete integrated system tasks.
- Maintain accurate logs, service reports, and documentation of work performed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Romanian Electrician Authorization (Autorizație Electrician) for at least Category II or III.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, NEC/IEC standards, and safety practices (lock-out/tag-out, arc flash protection).
- Familiarity with explosion-proof installations (ATEX) is a strong advantage.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various plant environments.
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
