Job Summary
The Head of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing the overall HR function, ensuring that human capital strategies align with organizational goals. This role oversees talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, compliance, and organizational culture. The Head of HR serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership and drives initiatives that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership to support organizational growth and transformation.
- Lead workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on organizational design and change management.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent.
- Develop employer branding and talent retention strategies.
- Monitor workforce needs and ensure staffing plans support business goals.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Lead employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
Performance Management & Development
- Design and manage performance appraisal systems.
- Support managers in goal setting, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Oversee leadership development and succession planning programs.
- Ensure continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
- Ensure equitable and compliant reward practices.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
- Manage workplace investigations and legal employment matters.
- Oversee health, safety, and risk management initiatives.
HR Operations & Analytics
- Manage HR budgets, systems, and operational processes.
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making.
- Ensure accurate employee records and reporting.
- Lead HR technology and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 8–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior leadership roles.
