Job Description: Senior HR Business Partner
Position Summary
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. The role supports workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development, particularly within project-based and engineering environments such as EPC and Oil & Gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and restructuring initiatives
- Support business units in achieving operational and performance targets
Talent Management
- Lead talent acquisition strategies for project and operational needs
- Oversee performance management systems and succession planning
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives
Employee Relations
- Manage complex employee relations cases and ensure fair resolution
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE Labour Law
- Promote a positive and productive workplace culture
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented
- Maintain compliance with UAE Labour Law and internal governance standards
- Support audits and HR reporting requirements
Organizational Development
- Identify training needs and support learning & development programs
- Drive leadership development and capability-building initiatives
- Support change management and transformation projects
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and project functions
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees at all levels
- Influence decision-making through data-driven HR insights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in EPC / Oil & Gas / Engineering sectors
- Strong understanding of UAE Labour Law
- Experience in project-based or multinational organizations
- Professional HR certifications (CIPD, SHRM, or HRCI) preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
