Job Summary
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within the nursery facility. The role involves performing daily cleaning duties, ensuring sanitation standards are maintained, and supporting a healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, play areas, washrooms, and common areas.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal activities.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, furniture, toys, and frequently used areas.
- Refill cleaning supplies, toiletries, and hygiene materials as required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and properly.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management.
- Assist with cleaning before and after nursery events and activities.
- Maintain organized storage of cleaning tools and supplies.
- Support a safe and comfortable environment for children and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cleaner in a nursery, school, office, hotel, or similar environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
